Successful candidates will take part in a Learnership programme leading to a selected Qualification that leads to becoming a qualified Artisan. The following Learnership programmes are offered: • National Certificate: Automotive Electrician L4 • National Certificate: Electrical L4 • National Certificate: Millwright L4 • National Certificate: Instrument Mechanician L5 • National Certificate: Plater/Welder L4 • National Certificate: Fitting & Turning L4 • National Certificate: Fitting (Including Machining) L4 • National Certificate: Plater/Boilermaker L4 • National Certificate: Diesel Mechanic L4 • National Certificate: Rigger Ropesman L4 • National Certificate: Earth Moving Equipment Mechanics L4 • National Certificate: Mechanical Engineering L2 • National Certificate: Engineering Fabrication L2 • National Certificate: Electrical Engineering L2 • Engineering Hard Rock Metalliferous – Stoping and Developing Level 2 (NQF Level 2) • Non-Artisan Learnership Winding Engine Driver (WED) L2 4.2 Trade Test Requirements Refer to Trade Test Regulations 4.3 Skills Programmes: MQA Artisan Aide Level 2 – All disciplines Entry Requirements: • Candidates embarking on learning towards this skills programme must have ABET 4/NQF Level 1 or Grade 9 with English and mathematics or equivalent. • Candidate embarking on the specific Skills Programme must have worked as an artisan assistant or Artisan Aide on the selected programme. • Learners must have knowledge and understanding of Hazard and Risk assessment as prescribed by the MHSA This MQA Accredited skills programme may be the ideal platform for obtaining credits towards the National Certificate in Engineering (NQF Level 2) and other engineering apprenticeship qualifications or related sub-fields.
